1. Easier to Sleep- The most effective way to make a flight go by faster is to sleep. Sleeping causes the brain to go into a different mode, and turns of the minds clock. This process allows a traveler to forget what the time is and that will generally make the time go by quicker. However, packed flights with everyone awake talking, watching the in flight movie, and moving around sleeping can become quite difficult and sometimes even impossible. Because the over night flight generally has a few less passengers and their is no light pouring in through the windows, it makes it much more conducive for sleeping.

2. Helps Jet Lag- Flying across time zones can do weird things to the bodies time clock. Especially when flying during the day because the body is usually very worn out after a long flight. 1. Blood Spots

As morbid as it may sound, it’s a good idea to check the bedding for blood stains. If you see tiny stains in the form of little dots, the room may be infested with bedbugs, tiny parasites that will bite you in the middle of the night. The worst thing about bedbugs is that you may accidentally take them home with you if they crawl into your suitcase. So take a closer look at some of the bedding to make sure that you don’t let the bedbugs bite!

2. Damage

If you check into a hotel room, you naturally expect it to be in tip-top condition. That’s probably because most of the hotel rooms you’ve stayed in over the years were in good shape. But it may be worth giving the room a careful once-over to look for any damage. You may not find any, but if you do, make sure you immediately notify the front desk. The last thing you want is to be charged for someone else’s carelessness or overindulgence. Also, finding damage in a hotel room is not a good sign that it’s a place you want to stay.

3. Mold

Allergies, anyone? Even if you don’t have seasonal allergies, mold is not your friend. This powdery substance can invade your respiratory tract and make it feel like you have a cold, or worse. If you have asthma or another respiratory disorder, mold can really be a threat. But it’s not easy to tell if a hotel room is moldy at first. However, you can draw some pretty accurate conclusions. Does the room smell musty or damp? If it does, it may have accumulated enough moisture to grow mold. Also, think about checking the air conditioning unit, if there is one. If there is any sign of mold, you should check out, or at least change rooms.
